The RES and EE Fund Management Committee announces the opening of applications to the "Grant Scheme to encourage the use of RES and EE in housing 2024-2025", which includes the new Category A3: "Photovoltaics for All".

The Grant Scheme was approved by the Council of Ministers on 25/01/2024 and provides for grants for the installation of photovoltaic systems and/or roof insulation in existing dwellings.

The categories of the Scheme are:

Category A1: Photovoltaic - General Category with a grant of €375 per kW and a maximum grant amount of €1,500 (4kW) - 50% increase for mountainous areas.

Category A2: Photovoltaic - Vulnerable Households with a grant of €1,250 per kW and a maximum grant amount of €6,250 (5kW).

Category A3: Photovoltaics for All with a grant of €250 per kW and a maximum grant amount of €1,000 (4kW) and, in addition, an investment repayment of €1,000 per kW with a maximum "repayment amount" of €4.000.

Category B2: Roof Insulation - Vulnerable Households with a 75% grant and a maximum grant amount of €3,750 or €37.50 per sq.m.

One of the important innovations of the Plan is the provision for a one-off bonus of €750 if both types of investment (photovoltaic and roof insulation) are implemented in the same house.

The Project is co-financed by the RES and EE Fund and the Recovery and Resilience Plan "Cyprus_Tomorrow".

Applications can only be submitted online via the website of the RES and EE Fund. Applications are submitted prior to the implementation of the investments and can be submitted in Greek or English.

It is considered particularly important that, before completing the application, applicants carefully study the provisions of the Sponsorship Plan, as well as the information provided on the above website.
