1. Application period
The Examinations Service of the Directorate of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth (MESY) reminds that the application procedure for participation in the 2024 Pancyprian Access Examinations (PEP) is open, for admission to the Higher and Higher Educational Institutions (HAEI) of Cyprus, the Military Schools and the HAEI of Greece, started on Thursday, 7 March 2024, at 9:00 a.m:00:00 and ends on Friday, 22 March 2024, 00:00.
After the above deadline, the Examinations Service will accept, via the electronic platform, late submission or modification of applications for another five (5) calendar days, i.e. until Wednesday, 27 March 2024, at 00:00.
It is stressed that, after the expiry of the five (5) additional calendar days, no submission or amendment of applications will be accepted.
The online platform for submitting applications for the 2024 CIPs will be located at the official website of the Examination Office and can be accessed from any computer, given the availability of internet access.
Please note that any errors, omissions or oversights are the sole responsibility of the candidate.
2. Request for facilities for persons with disabilities
Applicants belonging to the category of persons with disabilities, and wishing to claim any facilities in the MIP 2024, should fill in the relevant fields in the online platform for the submission of applications for participation in the MIP 2024.
The senior students of public and private schools, who will participate in the 2024 CIPs and will apply for facilities, should print from the online platform for submitting applications for participation in the 2024 CIPs their application for facilities, which they will have already completed online, attach the relevant supporting documents (e.g.e.g. Decision of the Provincial Committee for Special Education and Training, medical certificates, other evaluations, etc.) and deliver them to the teacher of Counselling and Vocational Education of their school responsible for the matter.
Subsequently, the responsible Assistant Principal(s) A'/Assistant Principal(s) (BDA'/ABD), who is the school's liaison with the Examinations Service, will ensure that all requests for facilities, including supporting documents, are collated, be placed in the Facilities/Fee Waiver security envelope, which has already been sent by the Examinations Service to all schools, and delivered at a place and date to be announced to Secondary Schools by the Examinations Service at a later stage.
Graduates of previous years, as well as persons residing abroad who will be applying for facilities, must send to the Examination Service, along with the other documents as indicated in paragraph 6, the necessary medical or other documents/certificates in support of their application.
Applications for facilities in the 2024 PEPs will be considered in accordance with the relevant legislation by the Special Committee for Provision of Facilities. The Examination Office will inform all applicants who will be approved for the provision of facilities by this committee. In addition, the relevant committee of the Examination Centre will arrange for the procedure for the provision of such facilities during the 2024 MTEs.
3. Practical Test Examination
Candidates for the Practical Test Examination, which is required for admission to the Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science of the Higher and Higher Educational Institutions of Greece (Box 9), but also candidates who will apply for a premium as distinguished athletes, are invited to carefully study the instructions contained in the Guide to the 2024 Pancyprian Entrance Examinations (Volume A, p. 73-81) and to send the required documents to the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth in due time.
4. Applications for Military Schools
Applicants for admission to the Higher Military Educational Institutions (MAEI) and the Higher Military Schools of Non-Commissioned Officers (ASY) of Greece, after submitting their application online for participation in the PEP 2024, should print it and send it to the Ministry of Defence, attaching the required documents. All information concerning candidates for the Military Schools can be found in the Guide to the 2024 Pancyprian Entrance Examinations (Volume A, pp. 97-114).
Interested candidates should also consult the website of the Ministry of Defence for full information on the examinations required by the Ministry of Defence (health examination, athletic and psychological test).
5. Claiming a place for the Greek AEI
According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports of Greece for the year 2023, the category "Graduates of high schools or equivalent schools of member states of the European Union", includes school graduates, if:
a) At least one of the parents of the candidates is not of Greek origin.
b) They have attended the last two grades of high school or equivalent school in a foreign country with full attendance.
b) They have attended the last two grades of high school or equivalent school in a foreign country with full attendance.
Candidates who meet the above criteria, based on the above directive, can be admitted to the Greek AEI through the PEPs, with the category "Graduates of high schools or equivalent schools of member states of the European Union".
Graduates and graduates of Cypriot schools, who do not meet the above requirements, e.g.Both parents are of Greek origin, are not entitled to be admitted to the Greek AEI through the PEPs. They can be admitted to the Greek AEI through separate procedures, e.g.
It is understood that for the year 2024, the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports of Greece will issue new instructions at a later stage.
6. Graduates of previous years and persons residing abroad
All graduates of previous years, as well as persons residing abroad who wish to participate in the PEP 2024, after submitting their application online, should print out and send it by post to the Examinations Service (PO Box. PO Box: 28777, 2082, Strovolos, Nicosia), by Friday, 29 March 2024 (date with a clear postmark):
a) Copy of the online application form for participation in the 2024 CIP
b) Copy of both sides of the official document with which they applied (Cypriot identity card or passport or other)
c) Proof of dismissal or a copy of their school leaving certificate, certified by the headmaster of their school of graduation or in case they are senior students in a school abroad,
d) Necessary medical or other supporting documents/certificates in case they have applied for facilities (Paragraph 2)
e) Relevant updated original certificates/certificates or true copies thereof, in case they are exempted from paying fees (Paragraph 8)
7. Fees for participation in the 2024 CQF
Candidates who wish to participate in the 2024 CQF must pay the required fees.
The examination fees for each Access Course and each Special Test are €25.00, except for the examination fees for the Practical Test which are €50.00.00
The payment period for the examination fees for participation in the CQF 2024 will start on Thursday, April 4, and will end on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
The payment of the examination fees will be made electronically using a debit/credit card through the same online platform. The Examinations Service will announce details of the procedure for payment of examination fees at a later stage.
8. Exemption of specific groups of candidates from the obligation to pay the fees for participation in the 2024 CIPs
According to circular of the Ministry of National Economy (ypp16739) dated 16 February 2024, specific groups of candidates are exempted from the obligation to pay the fees for participation in the 2024 CIPs.
Specifically, the following categories of graduating students of public and private schools are exempted from the obligation to pay fees for participation in the 2024 CIPs:

Candidates who intend to participate in the 2024 CIPs and who fall into the above specific categories, for exemption from the 2024 CIP fees, are requested to secure immediately the necessary updated certificates/certificates for the current year (2024), issued by the relevant government agencies.
In the case of prospective large families, a true copy of the current year's (2024) polychildren's identity card, issued by the Pancyprian Organization of Polychildren, will be accepted.
Subsequently, the candidates of the above categories, after submitting their application online, should print the first page on which the phrase "Final-Pending Payment" will appear and submit it to the Secretariat of their school along with the relevant updated original certificates/confirmations.
Each school's Secretariat will follow the procedure outlined in the circular of the Ministry of Education and Science dated 16 February 2024 on "Exemption of certain groups of senior high school students from the obligation to pay the fees for issuing a diploma and one (1) certificate of dismissal and participation in the 2024 Pancyprian Entrance Examination".
Graduates of previous years of public or private schools who fall into categories 1, 2 and 3 of the above Table are also exempted from the participation fees for the 2024 CPEs.
Graduates of previous years, in case they fall into the categories exempted from the obligation to pay fees, should send to the Examination Office, together with the other documents as described in paragraph 6, the relevant updated original certificates/certificates issued by the competent state authorities or exact copies thereof.
9. Access to information and other relevant material
All information concerning the 2024 PEPs is available on the website of the Examinations Office.
The Examinations Office, during the working days and hours of the online application period (7-27 March 2024), will operate a call centre (Tel.22582933/22582934) to assist interested parties in the online application process.
In addition, any interested party may send an e-mail to the Examination Office panexams@schools.ac.cy with any questions they may have regarding the procedures.
Candidates are also invited to contact their school's Counselling and Vocational Education teacher or the head office of the Counselling and Vocational Education Service of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Tel. 22800931) or the local District Offices of Counselling and Vocational Education, on working days and hours, for advice/guidance on the choice of fields of study.
