The Deputy Ministry of Tourism announces the online presentation of 12 Grant Schemes that will operate for 2022, in the framework of the implementation of the National Tourism Strategy 2020 - 2030.
The Plans concern the development of specific forms of tourism, the enrichment of infrastructure and the encouragement of the use of digital technology in tourism.
The main objectives of the Plans are:
i. The upgrading of the country's tourism product.
ii. The improvement of the tourist product.
iii. Upgrading and/or creating infrastructure related to specific forms of tourism.
iv. Attracting visitors, both Cypriot and foreign, to rural, mountainous and border areas.
v. Supporting businesses/persons involved in handicrafts and wine and gastronomy.
vi. The promotion and promotion of Cypriot crafts and wine and gastronomy as part of the authenticity of the destination.
The projects are the following:

2) Grant Scheme of the Ministry of State of Tourism for the Encouragement of Projects for the Qualitative and Aesthetic Upgrading of Beaches (2020 - 2022).
3) Grant Scheme for Events related to Wine Gastronomy and Local Products through a Support Programme (DE MINIMIS)
4) Grant Scheme for the organisation of international sports events in Cyprus (DE MINIMIS).
5) Grant Scheme for foreign sports teams, clubs, associations and federations for training and preparation in Cyprus, under the European Union's de minimis regulations (DE MINIMIS).
6) Grant Scheme for the certification of recreational diving service providers in Cyprus (2021 - 2022).
7) Grant Scheme for the organisation of familiarisation trips for special forms of tourism in Cyprus.
8) Grant Scheme for the creation, upgrading of infrastructure/facilities in order to upgrade the offered product related to special forms of tourism.
9) Grant Scheme for the organisation of conferences/meetings in Cyprus.
10) Grant Scheme for the organisation of travel/travel in Cyprus.
11) Grant Scheme for the digital transition of providers of special forms of tourism.
12) Grant Scheme for the hosting of cruise ships in Cyprus, under the European Union's de minimis regulations
It is noted that each Scheme will be presented separately, in order to be explained in detail to the interested public.
The presentation will take place in Greek, on Friday 28 January 2022, at 10:00 a.m. via the Facebook page of the Ministry of Tourism.It will last approximately 45 minutes and will particularly involve municipalities, communities, travel agencies, tourist accommodation, leisure centres, universities, NGOs, stakeholders/providers of special forms of tourism, organisers of sports events, organisers of events promoting local products and gastronomy, providers of recreational diving services, representatives of cruise companies in Cyprus, artists and others.
All the Plans of the Ministry of State will be posted on the website www.tourism.gov.cy, from Wednesday 26 January 2022. Applications can also be submitted online, in an easy way, through this website.
