With the participation of thousands of students and dozens of primary school teachers from various geographical areas of Cyprus and Greece, the online educational action "Athena and Dickie in the Magic World of the Internet", on the topic of Internet safety, took place on Wednesday 9 February 2022, with great success.

This action was co-organized, in the context of the International Internet Safety Day, by the Cyprus Internet Safety Centre - CYberSafety (https:/www.cybersafety.cy), which is coordinated by the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, and the Internet Safety Centre of Greece (https:/saferinternet4kids.gr/). The action was organized for the second time, after the great interest that emerged from its first event, on Monday, 20 December 2021.

This educational action, which aimed at empowering creative and critical thinking students on issues of creative, responsible and safe use of the Internet, was attended by approximately 300 classes from grades 1 to 4 of primary schools in Cyprus and Greece.

This educational action, which aimed at empowering creative and critical thinking students on issues of creative, responsible and safe use of the Internet, was attended by approximately 300 classes from grades 1 to 4 of primary schools in Cyprus and Greece. With great interest and enthusiasm, the pupils, with the help of the authors and heroes of the fairy tales "Athena learns about personal data" and "Dickie in the Magic World of the Internet", were informed in a creative way about the safe and responsible use of the Internet.

This effort offered the opportunity for classes from Greece and Cyprus to connect and communicate remotely, much to the satisfaction of the participating students and teachers. In addition, the whole activity is evaluated as very important, because it further strengthens the close cooperation between the two Safer Internet Centres (Cyprus and Greece). In addition, this effort adopts the encouragement of the relevant bodies of the European Union (Insafe and INHOPE) to exchange views, best practices, experiences and know-how, regarding the promotion of safe and responsible use of the Internet, as well as the exchange and exploitation of educational material, in printed and digital form, between the two Centres.
