The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth (MPSAN) reminds that on Saturday, 29 January 2022, the fifth presentation of the online course offered to students will take place, from 11 am to 1 pm, on the topic: "School Bullying". The specific topic is addressed to students of the 6th grade of primary school and the 1st and 2nd grade of secondary school and will be available at the link: https:/bit.ly/pi-ps05

The presentation will be given by the Officers of the Observatory for Violence at School (PA.VI.S) of the Pedagogical Institute: Margarita Moses, Niki Nikolaidou and Konstantinos Papageorgiou. The main objective is for participants to learn to recognize incidents of bullying and the feelings associated with bullying behaviour. It is also expected that children will be sensitized and learn about ways to effectively prevent and deal with the phenomenon, as reflected in the policy of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth on "Prevention and Management of Bullying Incidents".

During the presentation, with the help of scenarios, students will understand the difference between bullying and other forms of violence, as well as the various forms it can take, so that they will be able to identify bullying incidents. Emphasis will also be placed on developing empathy and empowering children to take action to prevent and respond to the phenomenon.
