[PIO] Official visit of the Foreign Minister of Egypt to Cyprus

Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will pay an official visit to Cyprus on Thursday, 8 February 2024, at the invitation of Foreign Minister Constantinos Kobos.

During the visit, he will have a private meeting with Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos, followed by extended consultations with the participation of delegations of the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs. At the end of the consultations, the two Ministers will make statements to the media. Afterwards, Mr Kombos will host a working lunch with his counterpart.

The discussions will focus, inter alia, on bilateral relations between the two countries and the further deepening of cooperation between Cyprus and Egypt, the latest developments in the Cyprus issue, as well as regional developments, with a focus on the situation in the Middle East.

During his stay in Cyprus, Mr. Shoukry will be received by the President of the Republic Mr. Nicos Christodoulides.
