The Department of Labour Inspection announces that by Decision of the Council of Ministers, full implementation will take place on 15.9.2023, The Occupational Safety and Health (Fluid Power Systems) Regulations 2022 (Decree 305/2022)
Inspections of steam boilers and air chambers and other categories of pressure equipment, including pipelines between installations, will now be carried out by Pressure Systems Inspectors authorised by the Labour Inspection Department. The key implementation points of the Regulations are posted at the Department's website.
All employers who have pressurized equipment as specified in the Regulations, e.g.e.g., steam boilers, air chambers, liquefied gas tanks and pipelines (including pipelines containing hazardous fluids) must contact a licensed Pressurized Systems Controller. Authorized Auditors will prepare a written Plan for periodic auditing of equipment (i.e., determine the type and frequency of audits) and periodically audit the equipment.
The Register of Authorized Auditors is posted on the Department of Labor Inspection's website. Any person wishing to be approved as an Authorized Auditor must complete and submit an application to the Director of the Department of Labor Inspection.
