An initiative that is expected to radically change the current situation regarding the provision of public digital services to the public is being implemented by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, within the framework of the "Digital Cyprus" programme. Through the creation of the Digital Services Factory (DSF) and the cooperation with the Government Digital Service (GDS) of the United Kingdom, the Deputy Ministry aims to holistically redesign the way digital services and applications are developed, based on a modern and flexible methodology, in order to meet the real needs of the citizen, at the Hilton Nicosia, a conference entitled "The Digital Services Factory Way: Faster, Smarter, Simpler digital services", where experts from the Ministry of State and GDS will present to the ecosystem the new government approach to the development of digital services, laying the foundation for a more effective public-private partnership.

The agenda will focus on the model, standards and methodologies for developing digital services, as well as the provisions of framework agreements with the private sector for the above purpose. The aim is to accelerate the simplification and digitisation of all public services, with a citizen-centric approach and commitment to the triple bottom line of speed, security and quality.

The Digital Services Factory (DSF) is a vital and integral part of the broader project for a holistic redesign of the government's online presence through the new portal, gov.cy, which will host both public digital services and all government websites. The aim is to put the whole public sector on one screen. With steady steps, we are moving forward for a people-centred digital transformation, for the benefit of the economy, citizens, businesses and the environment.
