During today's (02.01.24) regular briefing of the UN international media by the Deputy Representative of the Secretary-General, Ms.

According to Ms. Niño, the Secretary-General has appointed Major General Erdenebat Batsuuri from Mongolia as the new Commander of the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Cyprus (UNFICYP). Major General Batsuuri succeeds Major General Ingrid Gjerde from Norway.
