MP Nikos Tornaritis, head of the Cypriot delegation to the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), will participate in a meeting of the Assembly's Standing Committee on Social and Cultural Affairs in Baku, between 21-23 September 2023, hosted by the National Assembly of Azerbaijan. Mr. Tornaritis will be accompanied by the Assembly's Senior Official for International Relations, Ms. Ioanna Sygrasitis.
During the session, draft resolutions related to cultural diversity and plurality, sustainable tourism, as well as issues related to women's empowerment, among others, will be discussed in light of a proposal to establish a Standing Committee on Women's Issues.
