The Ministry of Health, following the decision of the Council of Ministers on 3 March 2022, informs that as of today, 8 March 2022, persons who are close contacts of a confirmed positive case and have not been isolated from the virus positive person (e.g.e.g. parents caring for their minor child, caregivers caring for persons who are unable to care for themselves) will be able to be released on the day of release of the positive case, provided they have secured a negative test result (Rapid or PCR).

Recall that under the Close Contact Management Protocol, a mandatory restriction is placed on:

  1. persons who have no history of vaccination,
  2. persons who have not completed their vaccination schedule (two doses for bivalent vaccines or 14 days have not elapsed since receiving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine),
  3. persons who have completed their vaccination schedule and the 7-month period has elapsed, or have become ill and the 90-day period has elapsed.
