[PIO] Ministry of Health announcement on new cases of COVID-19 - 7 February

The Ministry of Health announces that today, 7 February 2022:

- 4 deaths

- Related to:

- Male, aged 40 years, who died on 6 February

- Female, aged 89 years, who died on 6 February

- Female, aged 47 years, who died on 7 February

- Male, aged 79 years, who died on 7 February

- Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 749.

- 233 COVID-19 patients were hospitalized in the hospitals of the OCYP

- 63 in serious condition (3 in ICU/29 intubated, 31 in PICU)

- Inpatients with no history of vaccination: 72.42%

- 19 post-COVID patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in an ICU.

Diagnostic tests:

- A total of 139,885 diagnostic tests

- A total of 3,374 new cases detected (total cases 274,979)

- Positivity rate in all tests 2.41%

Molecular tests (PCR):[/B]

- 7,470 molecular tests performed

- 418 positive cases

- Positivity rate 5.6%

Rapid antigen detection test (RapidTest):

- 132,415 rapid antigen detection tests

- 2,956 positive cases

- Positivity rate 2.23%

Tracing:

- 225 molecular tests were performed and 32 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 14.22%)

- 1,515 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 110 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 7.26%)

Private initiative:

- 2,064 molecular tests were performed, 276 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 13.37%)

- 67,891 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 1,940 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 2.86%)

64,524

rapid antigen detection tests were performed through the Ministry of Health programmes. 1,016 1,016 positive cases were detected.

- Sampling points: 19,767 rapid detection tests detected 512 positive cases (positivity rate 2.59%)

- Middle School: 12,266 rapid detection tests detected 85 positive cases (positivity rate 0.69%)

- Primary education: 20,118 rapid antigen detection tests, 145 positive cases detected (positivity rate 0.72%)

- Welfare homes: 1,563 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 27 positive cases detected (positivity rate 1.73%)

- Closed structures: 280 rapid antigen detection tests were performed; 5new cases were identified (positivity rate 1.79%).

- Special schools: 503 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 6 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 1.19%)

- Government services: 1,432 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 6 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.42%)

- Test-to-Stay: 7,080 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 120 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1.69%)

The numbers given in the communication are indicative and may vary based on final and updated data sent as part of the National Epidemiological Risk Report published every second Friday.
