Note:
The numbers given in the communication are indicative and may vary based on final and updated data sent as part of the National Epidemiological Risk Report published every second Friday.
The change in the way daily results are reported has a dual purpose.
On the one hand, it simplifies the way in which the results were announced daily, so that they can be more easily understood by media professionals and citizens On the other hand, no data have been removed from the announcement, apart from the analysis of the number of inpatients per hospital (which will now be given in total for all hospitals), which is not considered necessary as it does not provide any substantial data in relation to the course and monitoring of the pandemic.
On the other hand, the tests carried out are grouped by population category in order to draw more accurate conclusions on a scientific level.
For example, the weight of the results and the positivity rate through the tracing process is different from the weight of the results carried out every day for people who need a negative result for SafePass purposes.
In the same way, the positivity rate from tests carried out in schools is of different weight. It is stressed that further changes and adjustments may be made subsequently and depending on the data generated per phase of the pandemic.
