[PIO] Ministry of Health announcement on new cases of COVID-19, 1 March 2022

The Ministry of Health announces that today, 1 March 2022:

- 1 death

- Related to:

  1. Male, aged 82 years, who died on 1 March

- Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 857

- Total number of deaths with a terminal cause of COVID-19: 857.

- 146 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in OCHS hospitals

- 31 in serious condition (ICU: 1 off ventilator/13 intubated, ICU: 17)

- Percentage of inpatients with no history of vaccination: 58.22%

- 19 patients who ceased to be infectious continue to be intubated due to COVID in ICU

Diagnostic tests:

- A total of 102,159 diagnostic tests

- A total of 1,986 new cases were identified (total cases 324.502)

- Positivity rate in all tests 1.94%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR): [/B]

- 6,740 molecular tests performed

- 310positive cases

- Positivity rate 4.6%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (RapidTest):

- 95,419 rapid antigen detection tests

- 1,676 positive cases

- Positivity rate 1.76%

Tracing:

- 418 molecular tests were performed and 38 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 9,09%)

- 613 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 42 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 6.85%)

Private initiative:

- 1,566 molecular tests were performed, 196 positive cases were identified (positivity rate 12.52%)

- 41,188 rapid antigen detection tests were performed, 1.052 positive cases (positivity rate 2.55%)

Through the Ministry of Health programmes, 54,231 rapid antigen detection tests were performed. 624 624 positive cases were detected.

- Sampling points: 14,660 rapid detection tests identified 392 positive cases (positivity rate 2.67%)

Education

- Primary education: 21.054 rapid antigen detection tests, 69 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 0.33%)

- Secondary Education: 11.910 rapid detection tests detected 72 positive cases (positivity rate 0.6%)

- Test-to-Stay: 3.893 rapid antigen detection tests and 40 positive cases were detected (positivity rate 1.03%)

Other

- Welfare homes: 1.084 rapid antigen detection tests, 6 positive cases detected (positivity rate 0.55%)

- Closed facilities: 175 rapid antigen detection tests performed, 2 new cases detected (positivity rate 1.14%)

- Government services: 842 rapid antigen detection tests were performed and 1 positive case was identified (positivity rate 0.12%)
