The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus is closely monitoring the situation in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories and the security incidents taking place in southern Lebanon, which may deteriorate without warning.
Cypriot citizens are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in southern Lebanon, in areas south of the Litani River, including Tyre, to exercise extreme caution and to follow the advice of the security services.
Cypriot citizens in Lebanon are advised to avoid all gatherings and demonstrations, to remain vigilant and to follow the instructions of the local authorities. They are also advised to closely follow developments and information from international and local media, avoid unnecessary travel and apply maximum security measures.
Cypriot citizens are also advised to register on the online Cypriot abroad registration platform Connect2CY.
