The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr Kostas Koumis, is leaving for Poland today to hold meetings with tourism operators.
Specifically, Mr. Koumis has scheduled meetings with heads of tourism organisations that run programmes to our country.
The meetings are expected to discuss current developments concerning the Polish market, as well as the strengthening of the presence of these organisations in our country.
It is noteworthy that the Polish market by the end of October exceeded 240,000 arrivals compared to 164,000 recorded in the same period last year.
It should be noted that Mr Kumis presented the budget of the Ministry of State for Tourism to the Parliamentary Committee on Finance and Budget last Monday 26 November.
According to what he presented before the relevant Parliamentary Committee, the budget of the Ministry of Tourism amounts to €65 million for the year 2024.
Up to the end of October, tourism in our country has exceeded 3.5 million tourists, recording an increase of 21.1% compared to the previous year.
Revenues up to the end of August are up 25.4% and, by all indications, a new revenue record is expected.
