The Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry Mr. George Papanastasiou has been in London since yesterday. Today he led the business delegation and took part in the Cyprus-UK Business Forum 2023, which was co-organised by the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Cyprus Trade Centre in London.
Mr. Papanastasiou was a keynote speaker at the Forum which aimed, through targeted panel discussions and presentations, to promote Cyprus as an emerging technology hub in Europe and the wider Eastern Mediterranean region. In particular, in front of approximately 100 participants, including representatives from 11 Cypriot companies, the Minister had the opportunity to present the competitive advantages of Cyprus in terms of, inter alia, attracting technology companies.
The Cyprus-UK Business Forum 2023 concluded with a networking event.
It is also noted that yesterday Mr. Papanastasiou participated in an event organised by the Great Britain - Cyprus Business Association, during which, as a keynote speaker, he explained to members of the UK business community the competitive advantages of Cyprus as an investment and business destination.
