[PIO] Meeting of the President of the Ports Authority with the Chief of Police

The President of the Cyprus Ports Authority had a meeting on 22 February 2022 with the Chief of Police of Cyprus to discuss issues of common interest. The Cyprus Ports Authority was represented at the meeting, in addition to the Chairman Dr. Antonis Stylianou, by the Director General of the Authority Mr. Mr. Stelios Papatheodorou, the Commander of the Port and Police Police, Mr. Andreas Simeou and members of the Police administration were present.

The meeting took place in a very friendly and productive atmosphere.

The issues raised concerned the cooperation between the Police and the Cyprus Ports Authority, especially in the port areas under the direction, administration and management of the Cyprus Ports Authority, and issues of further promotion of cooperation between the Cyprus Police and the Cyprus Ports Authority.

The President of the Cyprus Ports Authority and the Chief of Police stressed the importance of the close cooperation between the two, aimed at ensuring the security of port areas (land and sea) and enhancing the sense of security of citizens.
