The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Ports Authority, Dr. Stylianou received His Excellency the Ambassador of France, Mrs. Salina Grenet - Catalano, at the Administration Building of the Authority in the new port of Limassol. The meeting was attended on behalf of the Port Authority by the Director General Mr. Anthimos Christodoulides and the Director of the Port of Limassol Mr. Panayiotis Agathokleous.
The delegation of the Cyprus Ports Authority briefed Ambassador Grenet - Catalano and her entourage on the upgraded role of the Authority and its operational and supervisory/regulatory perspectives, while the Ambassador referred to the close cooperation in areas of common interest with the Cyprus Ports Authority. Issues concerning the further promotion of cooperation were also discussed, taking into account the fact that France currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. In particular, issues concerning the vision of the Cyprus Ports Authority in relation to the implementation of the objectives of the European Union for green and sustainable development and the blue economy, with emphasis on the port activities sector, were discussed.
In appreciation of the cooperation between the French Embassy and the Cyprus Ports Authority, the Cyprus Ports Authority honoured the Ambassador of France to Cyprus with commemorative gifts. The two sides renewed their commitment to upgrade their cooperation and strengthen their relations.
