[PIO] Meeting of the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance with the President and MPs of the Democratic Party

A meeting was held today between the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance Mr. Yannis Panagiotou and the President of the Democratic Party Mr. Marios Karoyan, the MPs of the party Mr. Marinos Mousioutta and Alekos Tryfonidis and the Press Spokesman Mr. Andreas Themistocleous. The meeting concerned the information and exchange of views on the planning of the implementation of the Ministry's political priorities for 2024, within the framework of the Governance Programme.

In statements made after the meeting, both sides confirmed their satisfaction with the constructive cooperation and the results achieved. In particular, the Minister said that social and political dialogue is essential for the implementation of the Government's people-centred policy in line with the needs of society and the potential of the economy. He pointed out that especially with the political forces supporting the Government, cooperation is essential, that through this cooperation significant results have already been achieved in the past year with the contribution of the Democratic Party, and that even more will be achieved in the coming period.
