[PIO] Meeting of the Minister of Finance with the leadership of PASYXE

Finance Minister Makis Kerynos had a meeting today at the Ministry of Finance with the leadership of the Pancyprian Hoteliers Association.

PASYXE presented to the Minister its positions on a number of issues of concern to the hotel industry, especially in relation to the continuous increase in interest rates and the current conditions of geopolitical uncertainty. They then exchanged views on the general challenges of the Cypriot tourism industry, as well as the next steps that will allow penetration into new markets, lengthening the tourism product and improving our competitiveness as a tourist destination.

For his part, the Minister of Finance, after thanking the representatives of PASYXE, stressed that investments in the tourism sector are high on the government's priorities, always in the context of fiscal discipline.
