The Minister of Finance Mr.Makis Kerynos had a meeting today at the Ministry of Finance with a delegation of the KEBE led by its President Mr.Christodoulos Agastiniotis.
The KEBE presented to Mr. Minister its positions on a number of issues, several of which date back several years and then they exchanged views on the challenges of the Cypriot economy and the next steps that will allow for sustainable and sustainable economic growth. At the same time, Mr Agastiniotis expressed his satisfaction especially for the fact that fiscal discipline remains the frontline of the Government's economic policy.
For his part, the Minister of Finance thanked the representatives of the CCBE for their support and underlined that fiscal discipline is non-negotiable. At the same time, he pointed out that the Government's objective remains the modernization of the economy, through a series of measures and reforms that will allow it to become more resilient, sustainable and socially just.
Finally, he assured the members of the KEBE delegation that the Ministry of Finance will continue its cooperation with the Chamber for the exchange of views and proposals concerning the economy and its individual sectors.
