[PIO] Meeting of the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth with the Deputy Minister for European Affairs

The Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Dr Athena Michaelidou, met today in her office with the Deputy Minister of European Affairs, Ms Marilena Raouna. The meeting took place within the framework of the cycle of contacts of the Deputy Minister with all Ministers/ Deputy Ministers, in view of the assumption of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union by Cyprus in the first half of 2026.

Mrs Raouna informed Dr Michaelides on the main parameters of the preparations for the assumption of this Presidency, both at the political and organisational level. For her part, Dr Michaelidou assured Mrs Raouna of the readiness of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth to be actively involved in all preparation processes in the areas of its competence.
