A meeting between the Minister of Defence Mr. Charalambos Petridis and the Commissioner for Communications Mr. George Michaelides took place today at the Commissioner's offices.
During the meeting, existing and future synergies of the Ministry of Defence and the National Guard with the Digital Security Authority (DSA) were discussed, as well as ways to further strengthen our cooperation.
The Defence Minister referred to the need to strengthen cooperation with all departments active in the field of digital security, stressing that it is now an integral part of the modern strategic and operational environment.
Recent developments in Europe and the wider region regarding cyber security issues were discussed.
Mr. Petrides visited the National CSIRT, which is the national cyber attack response team in Cyprus, where he was briefed on the actions and capabilities of the service.
