A meeting with Volunteer Firefighting Teams was held on Thursday, 6/6/2024, at the headquarters of the Department of Forests.
The Director of the Department of Forests, Dr. Savvas Iezekiel, after welcoming the Groups, praised the work done by the Volunteer Groups and assured that the utilization of the Volunteers will continue and will be further improved, both in forest fire prevention and suppression.
During the meeting, the Director of the Department of Forests, Dr. Savvas Iezekiel, also presented certificates of attendance of the training program on the Correct and Safe Use of Chainsaws to members of the Volunteer Groups who recently attended the program at the Cyprus Forestry College
After the meeting, various issues were discussed between the Volunteer Groups and the Volunteer Officer of the Department of Forests, Mr.
