Joining forces to organize the annual general assembly of FIJET International for the first time in Cyprus after many years
Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Costas Koumis received today at his office a delegation of the Pancyprian Association of Tourism Writers and Journalists, member of the World Federation of Travel Journalists and Writers (FIJET).
The delegation of the Association informed Mr. Koumis about the activities of the Association and its relations with international tourism bodies.
After an exchange of views it was agreed that the Ministry of Tourism and the Association of Travel Writers and Journalists should join forces in order to organize the annual general assembly of FIJET International for the first time in Cyprus after many years. The one and only time the General Assembly in question was held in Cyprus was in 1984.
It is worth mentioning that the Cyprus Association of Tourism Writers and Journalists is a member of the World Association of Tourism Journalists and Writers which is affiliated with UNESCO as well as with various international organizations in the field of tourism, such as the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and others.
