[PIO] Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare with the Head of Humanitarian Affairs for Missing and Trapped Persons

A very productive meeting was held today between the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Ms Marilena Evangelou and the Head of Humanitarian Affairs for Missing and Internally Displaced Persons Ms Anna Aristotelous, during which the challenges faced by internally displaced persons and resettled persons were discussed.

The close cooperation between the Deputy Ministry of Social Welfare and the Office of the Commissioner of the Presidency was reaffirmed and specific actions aimed at improving the quality of life of these two vulnerable groups of the population were put on the agenda.

Ms Evangellou and Ms Aristotelous share the same concerns. With an anthropocentric approach, sensitivity, empathy and dedication to duty, listening to individual and collective problems, they will work together to address them.
