On Wednesday, 22 May 2024, a delegation from the High Commission of India and the Cyprus Organization for Standardization (CYS) met to discuss areas of common interest for possible cooperation. Specifically, CYS Director of Standardization Mr. Pambos Kammas, accompanied by the Services & Administration Standardization Officer Ms. Natalie Yiorgalla and the First Secretary of the High Commission of India Mr. Subhash Jangala, met to identify specific areas of cooperation.
The two parties consider this cooperation an important step forward as it aims to support the Indian community in Cyprus using the services and solutions offered by CYS. In particular, the collaboration has the potential to provide multiple benefits to the Indian community on the island, including identifying networking opportunities among key players in the standardization space, participation in business events, webinars and trainings, and access to the plethora of international, European and national standards provided by CYS.
