The Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy reminds that, based on the provisions of Regulation 86 of the Infectious Diseases (Determination of Measures to Prevent the Spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus) Decree (No. 46) of 2021, the validity checks of the European Digital Certificates COVID (EUDCC) for SafePass purposes, where required, are carried out exclusively with the "CovScanCyprus" application. The use of other applications that may be available on the Internet is NOT permitted.
CovScanCyprus is a customised application that presents indications of the validity of the certificate, applying the criteria set by the Republic of Cyprus.
It is also recalled that a prerequisite for ensuring reliable and valid audit readings/results is (a) upgrading to the latest available version of CovScan through the device settings and (b) updating the Trusted Public Keys National Audit Rules. The latest update date and time is indicated at the end of the Settings of the application, under Reload.
