[PIO] Information from the Health Insurance Organisation on requests for additional speech therapy services following a stroke or

The Health Insurance Agency, aiming at the continuous improvement of the services provided, informs that from 10 April 2024, information is provided on requests for the receipt of additional speech therapy services by beneficiaries who have suffered a stroke or brain injury.

Information on the outcome of such requests is available through the GIS Service Center by calling 17000 toll-free, quoting the patient's GIS number or ID number and date of birth. Alternatively, approval or denial of the request is also available through the "Beneficiary File" in the GIS Information System, where all activities related to the beneficiary's medical history are recorded.
