The Department of Electromechanical Services informs the consuming public that it has identified the following product on the market, which does not comply with the essential safety requirements of the Low Voltage Electrical Equipment Directive (LVD), as it involves substantial safety risks for the user and property. The manufacturer has therefore voluntarily withdrawn it from the market.

The Department informs the consuming public that the likelihood of the risk materializing is remote, given its nature and degree. However, it recommends replacement of the product, although this is not necessary.
Licensed electricians in possession of the above product are advised not to use/install it and to return it directly to the seller, i.e. the store from which they purchased it.
Note that, the product should be returned to the distributor, who is responsible for the effective and efficient execution of the recall.
In addition, according to the Law on Certain Aspects Concerning Contracts for the Sale of Goods of 2021, if a non-compliant product is purchased, the consumer is initially entitled to have it repaired or replaced free of charge.
It is also noted that the obligation to repair or replace the goods includes the removal of the non-conforming goods and the installation of the substitute goods or the repaired goods or the assumption of the costs of such removal and installation.
If the repair or replacement is not possible, then the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract (i.e. to terminate the contract and claim a refund of the money paid).
It is recalled that the above rights are valid for a period of two years from the initial delivery of the product to the consumer and that the final seller is always solely responsible to the consumer.
In case the seller refuses to comply with the above rights of the consumer, the consumer is invited to submit his/her complaint in writing through the website of the Consumer Protection Service.
