The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry and the Cyprus Trade Centre Berlin participated for the third consecutive year, with a state pavilion, in the International Wine and Spirits Exhibition PROWEIN 2024, which took place in Düsseldorf, Germany between 10 and 12 March 2024.

14 Cypriot wineries took part in the exhibition, highlighting the uniqueness of indigenous grape varieties and presenting various types of wines, coumadaria and zivania. In addition to showcasing their products, Cypriot wineries also made significant commercial contacts with existing and potential partners and other interested parties.

PROWEIN, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year as it has been held annually since 1994, is considered the most important international wine exhibition. It is the largest annual appointment in the wine and spirits industry and attracts thousands of industry professionals and visitors from all over the world. This year's event hosted approximately 47,000 visitors from 135 countries and 5,400 exhibitors from 65 countries.

The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry actively supports the efforts of Cypriot businesses to strengthen their extroversion and the penetration of Cypriot wineries into new markets. To this end, it positively evaluates the participation with a state pavilion in major international exhibitions.
