Mr.Nikos Tornaritis will participate in a meeting of the Monitoring Committee on Obligations and Commitments of Council of Europe member states in Rome.
Mr. Tornaritis, head of the Cypriot delegation to the CSCE, will travel to Rome to participate in a meeting of the Monitoring Committee on the Observance of Obligations and Commitments of the Member States of the Council of Europe (CoE), which will take place on 4 and 5 December 2023.
The meeting will discuss the state of compliance of a number of member states with their treaty obligations towards the Organisation, as well as the tools available to the CoE to prevent conflicts.
The work of the Commission will be welcomed by the Presidents of the Italian Parliament and Senate, Lorenzo Fontana and Ignazio La Russa respectively, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Antonio Tajani.
In the context of the programme, the Members of the Commission will be received by the President of Italy, Mr Sergio Mattarella, at the Presidential Palace.
