Working visit to Cyprus of the Secretary General and a team of officials of the Hellenic Parliament
The Secretary General of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. George Mylonakis arrives in Cyprus on Sunday, 3 December 2023, in order to pay a working visit, at the invitation of the Director General of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Tasoulas Ieronymidou. Mr. Mylonakis will be accompanied by a seven-member team of high-ranking officials of the House of Representatives.
During his visit to Cyprus, Mr Mylonakis will be received by the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs Anita Demetriou.
Subsequently, Mr Mylonakis and the Director General of the House of Representatives, Mrs Tasoula Hieronymidou, will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation between the two Houses. The Memorandum will concern the strengthening and development of parliamentary ties at the administrative level, as a result of the special and close ties between the House of Representatives and the Greek Parliament.
During the visit, the Greek delegation will be briefed on the administrative structure and functioning of the House of Representatives and will have meetings with senior officials of the body, with the aim of exchanging know-how and best practices in various areas, as well as on issues of common interest.
During his visit to Cyprus, Mr. Mylonakis and his entourage will visit - among others - the ceasefire line in Nicosia, the "Prisoner's Memories" and the EOKA 1955 - 1959 Museum of the EOKA Struggle.
