In order to support the children's programmes of the Children's Skills Development Centre "The Jump", the association "Unique Smiles" and the "Kivotos" Foundation, the House of Representatives held an event last night with the theme "Build a Heart for Great Leaps-Water and Joy", during which the House Christmas tree was lit.

Welcoming the event, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Anita Demetriou, praised the importance of love and giving to our fellow human beings, noting that we all need positivity, the spirit of the holidays and all that it represents. "Through democratic institutions, through synergies there are solutions, even for the most difficult equations," the President of the Parliament stressed. At the same time, she expressed the state's full support for the valuable work carried out by the Children's Skills Development Centre "The Jump", the "Unique Smiles" Association and the "Kivotos" Foundation, congratulating those who work tirelessly for the realisation of the children's programmes of the above organisations.

The ceramist Mrs. Andri Evripidou Atalioti, on whose initiative this event was organized for the second year, also addressed the audience, expressing her sincere thanks to the President of the Parliament, who placed the event under her auspices, and to the attendees for their contribution.

During the event, an artistic programme was presented by the Astridio Conservatory of Cyprus, conducted by Ms Penelope Prokopiou, while MPs and other guests who attended had the opportunity to buy and paint ornamental hearts in support of the above children's programmes.
