The topics to be discussed will include, inter alia, cooperation between the Venice Commission and the CSCE and the examination of Opinions issued by the Venice Commission following requests from CSCE Committees on specific legal and constitutional issues or in relation to treaty obligations of the Organisation's member states.
As a representative of the CSCE, Mr Efstathiou will brief the Venice Commission on issues that have recently been addressed by the Legal and Human Rights Committee, such as the use of spying surveillance systems and the compatibility of such practices with the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights.
