In the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Cooperation between the Republic of Cyprus and the United Kingdom, a meeting was held on Thursday 14 December 2023, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The first Strategic Dialogue between the two countries was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom on Thursday, February 1423, led on the Cypriot side by the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr Kyriak Kouros, and on the UK side by the Director General for Europe of the British Foreign Office, Mr. During the dialogue, the implementation of the Memorandum's provisions was reviewed and the next steps of cooperation in a wide range of areas were agreed upon with the issuance of a relevant Joint Communiqué. The cooperation focuses, inter alia, on Security, Education, Trade, Maritime Affairs and Climate Change.
