The Ministry of Defence announces that the process of health examination by the provincial classification boards, as well as the granting of clothing, footwear and materials to the recruits of the 2024 ESSO will take place from 20 May to 24 May 2024 and from 27 May to 30 May 2024. The said process will take place from 07:30 to 12:30, as per the allocation table here.
Recruits are requested to come with:
a. Their identity card or any other official document of the Republic showing their identity card number to prove their identity. Note that no recruit will be accepted without one of the above official documents.
b. The enlistment invitation note that they have received in their e-mail immediately after the electronic submission of the declaration of selection data or that they have been served by the competent Recruitment Office (may also be presented in electronic form). Recruits who for any reason have not received an enlistment invitation note are requested to contact the Recruitment Offices.
[/P]c. Medical certificates - reports on any health problems they may have in order to establish their ability to fulfil their military obligations.
d. Confirmation of a bank account (IBAN) in the name of the recruit, ONLY in case the bank account details were not submitted to the online platform during the submission of the 2024 ESSO Recruit Selection Statement.
e. Certificate of vaccination status and blood group ONLY if not submitted on the online platform at the time of submission of the 2024 ESSO Conscript Selection Statement.
It is understood that those recruits who did not proceed with the electronic submission of the Declaration of Soldier Selection Data, the data of paragraphs (d) and (e) must be submitted on the day of their presentation at the health examination, as well as Certificates in case they belong to one or more grading categories. To avoid inconvenience, the recruits are requested to strictly observe the stipulated days and hours, which are mentioned in the enlistment call note.
It is noted that recruits who are not found fit for enlistment or whose fitness is pending will not be issued materials at this stage.
Recruits who attend provincial enlistment boards for a health examination will be credited with an additional 10 points, which will be taken into account in the selection process for National Guard units.

Those recruits who expressed a desire to be selected as Candidate Rank Bearers will be deemed qualified at the conclusion of the health examination to continue applying for these positions, they will be required to report for an athletic test (in athletic attire) on 31 May 2024. Successful candidates in the sports test will also be required to appear for a written examination on 3 June 2024. The time and venue will be officially notified to the recruits at the conclusion of the health examination.
Those recruits who have expressed a wish to be selected for the Special Forces, at the conclusion of the health examination, are deemed fit to continue to apply for these positions, will be required to present themselves for an athletic test (in athletic attire) on 1 June 2024. The time and venue will be officially notified to the recruits at the conclusion of the health examination.
Note that cases of recruits whose selection procedures are affected due to their participation in A Level examinations will be informed of the date of the supplementary examination at the end of the health examination. Recruits are kindly requested to obtain appropriate confirmation of their obligation to participate in A Level examinations in order to be allowed to take the supplementary examination.
