[PIO] Grant of a lump sum to VET beneficiaries receiving a rent/mortgage subsidy

The State Ministry of Social Welfare announces that today the Welfare Benefits Management Service (WPS) will start paying a lump sum to beneficiaries of the Minimum Guaranteed Income (MGA) who receive a rent/mortgage subsidy.

The lump sum will be paid to the bank accounts of the VET beneficiaries registered with the Welfare Benefit Administration by bank transfer.

A decision of the Council of Ministers on 19/10/2023 approved the granting of a lump sum:

1. of €300 to VET beneficiaries receiving a rent subsidy/housing loan interest subsidy and

1. €500 to severely disabled VET beneficiaries receiving a rent subsidy/housing loan interest subsidy.
