From 1 February 2022, the electronic registration system (iJustice) will be fully implemented, an important step in the qualitative upgrade of the country's justice system, which is expected to contribute catalytically to faster, more efficient and more effective service to officials and professionals in the sector and society at large.
Therefore, all new cases, without exception, will be registered exclusively and only electronically, without physical presence, with the exception of the Administrative Court of International Protection and the Courts of Criminal Jurisdiction, including the Criminal Court, the Military Court and the Supreme Court. For clarifications regarding cases already registered in December and January 2022, please consult the relevant announcement of the Supreme Court.
The full implementation of the system was preceded by thorough training and a sufficient period of familiarization of users with the system, while at the same time, through productive dialogue and consultations with all partners, proposals necessary to expand and optimize the functions of the system and to ensure the maximum benefit from its use were recorded and implemented.
Finally, it is noted that for the proper functioning of the system, the Cyprus Bar Association (PBC), with the support of the Ministry of State, has proceeded to organize training points in the local bar associations, so that any technical difficulties that may arise can be resolved immediately and effectively (see. In order to further facilitate the users of the system, it has created relevant training material in the form of videos, as well as a detailed user manual. At the same time, users are invited to continue to submit their suggestions for the implementation of interventions to continuously improve the functionality and efficiency of the system.
It is recalled that a prerequisite for accessing and using the system is the registration at the CY Login at the portal of the Governmental Internet Security Portal "ARIADNI".
The Ministry of State, the Supreme Court and the PCA express their full satisfaction with the outcome of the months-long, intensive efforts for the development and full implementation of the iJustice system and assure that they will continue their close and constructive cooperation with all partners involved to achieve the common goal of the full transition of the justice sector to the digital era.
