The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today at 11:00 a fire broke out within the National Forest Park of Pedagogical Academy in Aglantzia.
The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate, and the fire was brought under control at 11:20, burning a small area of dry grass.
Seven members of the Forestry Department with one fire engine and two members of the Fire Service with one fire engine worked to extinguish the fire.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
