[PIO] Forest fire under full control in the Community of Kalou Choriou Klerou, Nicosia District

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, October 11, 2023 at 14:38 a fire broke out in an area of the Community of Kalo Chorio Kleros, Nicosia District.

The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate, resulting in the fire being brought under control at 15:00, burning a small area of dry grass and low wild vegetation.

Six persons of the Forestry Department with two fire engines worked to extinguish the fire.

The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
