The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Sunday 19 November 2023 at 10:34 a.m. a fire broke out in the area of the rocks of Alikous in the municipality of Ineia, Paphos district.
The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate and the fire was brought under control at 11:15, after burning about two and a half decares of low wild vegetation.
Five persons of the Forestry Department with two fire engines worked to extinguish the fire.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
