[PIO] Forest fire under full control in an area of the Community of Moni

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today at 13:43 a fire broke out in an area of the Community of Moni.

The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate, and the fire was brought under full control at 14:10, after burning about six decares of dry crops and scattered carob trees.

Ten Forestry Department personnel with three fire trucks worked to extinguish the fire, while three Fire Department personnel with one fire truck assisted.

The causes of the fires are being investigated.
