[PIO] Forest fire under full control in an area of the Community of Lympion

The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Tuesday, 25 June 2024, at 13:51, a fire broke out in an area of the Lympion Community of Nicosia District.

The fire was brought under full control at 14:54, burning an area of two decares covered with dry grasses and low wild vegetation.

Seven people from the Forestry Department with two fire engines, and three people with one fire engine from the Fire Service operated to extinguish the fire.

The causes of the fire are being investigated.
