The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Friday 26 August 2022, at 13:05, a fire broke out in an area of the community of Kritou Terra, Paphos District.
The intervention of the forest firefighting forces was immediate, resulting in the fire being brought under control at 13:30 before it spread.
7 persons of the Forestry Department with 1 fire truck and 4 persons of the Fire Service with 2 fire trucks participated in the extinguishing operation.
The exact causes of the fire are being investigated.
