The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 14:48, a fire broke out in an area of the Community of Anglicides, Larnaca District.
The fire was brought under full control at 15:35, burning an area of one hectare of dry grasses, carob trees and pine trees.
Ten members of the Forestry Department with three fire engines participated in extinguishing the fire. The Forestry Department's operation was assisted by the Fire Service with four people and one fire engine.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
