The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Monday, 01 July 2024 at 14:30 a fire broke out in an area of the Municipality of Paralimni in the location "Koripas".
The intervention of the forces was immediate, resulting in the fire being brought under full control at 15:30 before it spread, having burned an area of three decares of dry grass and acacia trees.
Three Forestry Department personnel with one fire engine, two Fire Department personnel with one fire engine and three technicians from the AEC worked to extinguish the fire.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
