The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Tuesday, 19 March 2024, at 16:20, a forest fire broke out in the Community of Polos Chrysochous.
The timely intervention of the forest firefighting forces prevented the fire from spreading.
Four persons of the Forestry Department, with one fire engine, and three persons of the Fire Service, with one fire engine, worked to extinguish the fire.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
