The Forestry Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment announces that today, Friday, August 9, 2024, at 4:32 p.m., a fire broke out in the community of Drymos.
Thanks to the immediate intervention of the firefighting forces, the fire was brought under full control at 4:45 p.m, Before it spread.
Ten people of the Forestry Department with two fire engines worked to extinguish the fire. The Forestry Department's operation was assisted by the Fire Department with two personnel and one fire engine and two members of the Simo Community Council with one fire engine.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
